Linwood Child Care Center

Who doesn’t love kids???  Well the kids in Lincoln and Woodstock get lots of attention.  Here is the Linwood Child Care Center, thanking L-W Rotary President Jay Polimeno and Past-President Doug Moorhead for our annual gift.

Thank you all for helping us help these worthy young kids.  They are future Interact and Rotary members.

New Hampshire Maple Festival Weekend

The New Hampshire Maple Festival Weekend is happening during the last weekend of March (March 27-28) and is a compilation of activities, events, education, tastings, and visits to the sugar houses throughout the state of New Hampshire.   Held in North Woodstock, New Hampshire, the NH Maple Fest is the center of activity during the New Hampshire Maple Weekend when over 60 sugar houses across New Hampshire will welcome you.

This sticky-sweet Festival begins on Friday evening, March 26, with many local restaurants featuring maple products in their menus.  On Saturday, join in on some fun with the planned activities and tasting in North Woodstock.  Then, head on out to your favorite neck of the maple groves to help bring in the sap, or to witness how evaporation creates that syrup we’ve all come to love.  Saturday night, the Lincoln Woodstock Rotary will host its first-ever Maple Dinner, with entertainment and the crowning of the first Maple King and Queen.  The sap continues to run on Sunday with the New Hampshire Maple Festival Parade, through the streets of North Woodstock, NH.  See the king and queen in all their glory, as you recover from your pancake breakfast.

There’s more happening every day…so check back often.  The New Hampshire Maple Festival is “produced” in partnership with the Lincoln Woodstock Chamber of Commerce and Lincoln Woodstock Rotary Club.

Lincoln-Woodstock Community Christmas Chest

Dear Members of the Community,
The Lincoln Woodstock Rotary Club is now accepting donations towards our “2009 Lincoln-Woodstock Community Christmas Chest” program. Our Christmas program has grown greatly over the past few years providing Christmas presents, food, and winter clothing to children and families in the Lincoln/Woodstock area.  This program is supported by generous donations from the community and implemented by local Rotarians and the Woodstock Police Department who put together and distribute the Christmas packages directly to the homes of the families we serve.
Any level of support is greatly appreciated and can come in the form of monetary donations and/or gifts of clothing, toys, or electronics for older children.
Checks should be made out to the “Lincoln-Woodstock Community Christmas Chest” and can be mailed to P.O. Box 771, Lincoln, NH  03251 or dropped off at the Woodstock Police Station.  Actual gift donations of clothing and/or toys can also be dropped off at the Woodstock Police Station.
If you have any questions please call Doug Moorhead early in the morning at 348-8712 or Jay Polimeno at 745-8289. Thank you for your assistance in making this a festive holiday season for everyone!
                               Merry Christmas,
                      Jay Polimeno, President
